Food, Clothing and Supplies

When men walk through the doors of Helping Up Mission, they often arrive feeling ashamed, defeated, and not having showered or changed clothes in days (sometimes weeks). The first way we serve these men is by tangibly showing them that they matter to us and to God!

Each man receives a set of hygiene products, a fresh set of clothes and a warm meal. When a man’s basic needs are met, he is more open to hearing the life-saving message of Christ.

As you might imagine…feeding, clothing and providing for the needs of almost 400 men each day can be very costly. Your donations of food, clothing and supplies help to defray these costs.

Donate Food

We welcome donations of canned goods, perishable and non-perishable food items. Fresh fruits and vegetables…and other highly nutritious foods are greatly appreciated! Food can be dropped off at the Mission between the hours of 7am and 7pm.

Sponsor a Meal

Provide breakfast, lunch or dinner for the men in the Spiritual Recovery Program (SRP) and/or the Emergency Overnight Guests (EOS). Meal sponsorship is a tangible way for your family, church group, company, or organization to demonstrate your support.

• Sponsorship can be one-time, monthly, bi-monthly or quarterly.
• How many people you will be feeding:
  - Spiritual Recovery Program (SRP): 260 people approx
  - Emergency Overnight Guests (EOS): 70 people max
  - SRP and EOS Guests: serve 330
• Meal Times:
  - Breakfast: 6:00am (M-F), 7:00am (Sat-Sun)
  - Lunch: SRP 12:00pm (M-F), 1:00pm (Sat), 1:30pm (Sun)
  - Dinner: 5:30pm (Mon-Sun)
• In addition to supplying the food, you may also choose to prepare,serve and/or help with cleanup.

Donate Clothing

Many of our Overnight Guests and program members arrive at Helping Up Mission with only the clothes they are wearing, and lack the essential clothing to survive the elements. We welcome all donations of serviceable men's clothing, including undergarments, professional business attire, and cold weather gear.

Donate Supplies

We use a significant amount of supplies in all areas of the Mission, including housekeeping, maintenance, transportation (gasoline), business office, and program office. We welcome bulk donations of office supplies, cleaning supplies, new bibles, books for our library, and other items used to provide critically needed services to our Overnight Guests and program members.

Most Urgent Needs

With the number of men we serve, there are times during the year that we run short of different items. Below is a list of our most urgent needs today:

3. Razors (Double/Triple Edge)

4. Bar Soap
